How AssistKAR Works: Adaptive Cornering Lights & Crash SOS Explained
Understand the physics, safety logic, and engineering specs that drive AssistKAR.
The Science of Cornering Lights
Standard motorcycle headlights are fixed straight ahead. When you lean your motorcycle into a curve, the headlight beam tips downwards towards the ground and points away from the bend, leaving a critical blind spot right where you need to go.
AssistKAR utilizes a high-rate **6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)** to sense roll, pitch, and yaw in real-time. As you lean, our algorithm instantly computes the optimal counter-angle and redirects auxiliary power to illuminate the inside of the curve, filling in the blind zones before your main headlamp can follow.
6-Step DIY Installation Guide
No mechanics needed. Standard plug-and-play connections.
Locate Your Battery
Remove your motorcycle seat or side panel to access the 12V lead-acid or lithium battery terminals.
Mount the Control Unit
Secure the compact, IP67-rated AssistKAR control module under the seat or near the frame using the provided heavy-duty zip ties or 3M adhesive padding.
Connect Battery Terminals
Connect the red ring terminal wire to the positive (+) battery post and the black ring terminal to the negative (-) battery post. Secure tight.
Mount the Auxiliary Lights
Install the high-powered adaptive auxiliary lights onto your bike's crash guard, front forks, or existing light mounts using the universal bracket kit.
Plug in the Waterproof Harness
Route the heavy-duty, heat-insulated wiring harness from the control unit to the auxiliary lights and connect the snap-lock waterproof connectors.
Calibrate & Ride
Turn on your ignition. AssistKAR will perform an automatic self-calibration sweep. When the status light glows green, you are ready to ride.
The Crash SOS Sequence
In the event of a severe impact, immediate rescue response time is everything. AssistKAR monitors deceleration vectors and extreme roll changes to distinguish normal tip-overs from high-speed accidents.
- Detection: Accelerometer monitors sudden deceleration (over 4G).
- Validation: The system sounds a loud warning buzzer for 30 seconds.
- Manual Override: A single press of the handlebar override button cancels the alert.
- SOS Transmission: If not cancelled, the system uses GSM network channels to text coordinates to emergency services.
If you slip while parking or drop your bike, simply click the override button to avoid false alerts.
